YUMMY YUMMY: FRANKIE’S NEW YORK BUFFALO WINGS



My first time to try Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings was just this year.

It was right after bringing some of our artists to the Cosmo Hunks go-see. They didn’t eat the whole day so they were understandably starving.

One of our really talented actors, Lucho Ayala, was the one who recommended for us to go to Frankie’s. Since we were in Pasig, he suggested for us to have dinner at Frankie’s in City Golf Plaza, Pasig.

We had a dozen of their Classic Buffalo Wings, which I really liked coz they were tangy and spicy. We also got half a dozen of their Hickory BBQ Wings, which I also loved coz they’re really tasty (it’s coz they don’t skimp on the sauce). I asked for a cup of rice, but didn’t finish it coz I ate a lot of the wings.

It was love at first bite. What’s not to love? The wings are big and as I mentioned earlier, they don’t skimp on ingredients. And they’re pretty affordable. P188 for six pieces of wings (half are those anorexic wings, and half are the meatier, bigger ones) – not bad.

Recently, I got to taste some of the other flavors.


The Cheesy Bacon Wings are swimming in yummy cheese sauce and generously topped with bacon bits. As in there’s enough cheese sauce for all six pieces if you get the half dozen.


The Honey Garlic Wings are another favorite of mine. It is drenched in a honey sauce that is sweet but not THAT sweet. I love it so much and I thought Sadako would like them, too, so I had a box of half a dozen wings for take-out.


And then they have the Salted Egg Wings. Not hating on them for jumping on the bandwagon coz their offering is pretty good. I like that they’re slightly spicy. And while my officemate thought they’re a little too salty, I thought they’re just okay especially when you eat them with rice na.

Not gonna lie, I am a big fan of Frankie’s. In fact, I can’t wait to check out the other flavors (I still haven’t tasted Salt and Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, Caribbean Jerk, Nagoya Tebasaki, Smokey BBQ, Honey Mustard, Adobo, Korean, and what they call Kevin’s Bacon Wings.

I truly can’t wait for the branch in SM North EDSA to open.
