I love Il Terrazzo in Tomas Morato. It has a Rustans Supermarket, it has a variety of shops, and it houses a bunch of restaurants.

One of the new ones that opened recently is Mad For Pizza, where you can create your own pizza by choosing the kind of dough and sauce, plus asking for all the toppings that you want.

On our first visit there, it was love at first bite for me. I love it there because apart from being able to customize the taste of your pizza, the process of doing so is also fun, especially for kids. Sadako, for example, loves pointing at the different ingredients and watching the pizza guy prepare our pie.

I have to admit I’m a staple at Mad For Pizza. Honeybun, Sadako, and I usually go there every weekend, plus I’ve held several meetings there. Every visit is always unique because you can customize your pizza. I like trying different topping combinations but after several creations, I’ve found my favorite pizza ingredients: pineapple, roasted garlic, and jalapeno peppers. I especially like it when I use the barbecue sauce instead of the usual red sauce.

I also discovered how much I love peaches on my pizza. Yes, I love my pizza sweet, so peaches and pineapple tidbits are very much welcome on my pizza anytime.

As for Sadako, she hates pizza toppings. If she had her way, her pizza would have just the red sauce and lotsa cheese on top of a really thin, crunchy crust. We’ve never done that coz it kind of defeats the purpose of going inside a place that lets you choose all the toppings that you want for your pizza. So what we do is give all the toppings to the adults so Sadako can enjoy her topping-less crust.

That has been working for us but I think we really should try creating one with just the red sauce and cheese just for her.
