WHILE SADAKO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SPEAK IN FULL SENTENCES YET

I am pretty sure that all parents want the best for their child. So during Christmas time (or birthdays), it’s very understandable that they would want to give anything and everything to their child.

I am definitely one of those parents.

However, I didn’t give Sadako a lot of gifts last Christmas day, and none of them were expensive, to be honest.

I gave her five Hi-5 DVDs, worth P150 each, and a Dora umbrella, worth a little over P300. That's it.

And you know what? She loves them to bits. She’s been watching the new Hi-5 discs every hour since she opened them, and she’s been playing with the umbrella, too—waving it and hitting us with it no end. In fact, she has been playing with it too much that it kinda looks like she got it last year.

Sure, I wanted to give Sadako anything and everything last Christmas, but I realized that a few not-so-expensive gifts would do just fine.

Next year, she’ll probably be able to speak in full sentences and I’m sure that by November of 2012, she will already know how to demand for specific toys as a gift for Christmas.

Uhm, can't wait.
