Ajang, Honeybun’s nephew, is brilliant. He loves numbers, mind games, puzzles—anything intelligent and mind-boggling, actually. Whenever I see him, he wants us to play. Not basketball or video games though. He likes pretending we’re part of a game show (about math, of course), and tearing these pieces of paper, assigning numbers on them and then playing some sort of raffle game involving some of his cards.

One day, he found his grandmother’s wallet, took out a crisp 500 peso bill, and cut it into several pieces. He shuffled the pieces, and then formed it back.

I told you he likes puzzles.
