Demi Moore—the amazingly still fresh-faced and sexy 46-year old actress—just posted photos of herself on Twitter.

Taken during a visit to the dentist, the pics show her without make-up—and a tooth. Smiling. No, grinning.

“Happy to share and always appreciate the opportunity to find humility!!! Or at least be able to laugh at myself!” she tweeted.

My eyeballs jumped out from their sockets the first time I saw the photos. I cringed. What a horrific thing to happen to such a person! Of all the teeth! I am terrified of losing teeth—isn’t everyone? If I were in her shoes, I’d choose to die instantly. How can you face others? How can you talk? How can you smile? Sure, the dentist could do something about it, but that’s cheating.

I know I should salute Demi for being candid and real and brave. But she just made me extremely afraid I think I need to floss my teeth now, brush and gargle some mouthwash.
