MALAYSIAN YUMMERS







Nope, I’m not talking about good-looking guys from Malaysia. I’m talking about food. A friend just got back from the country and had some ubong: fresh dates and preserved peaches, which tasted like champoy. According to my friend, there’s lots of preserved food sold over there and they’re pretty cheap too. Dried fruits and all those packed ubong such as spicy anchovies, wasabi-covered green peas, spicy mango strips and dried pineapple are simply the best and I wanna go out of the country again just to sample such goodies. Then again, I can just have some as take-home gifts from a couple of friends in Singapore (yay Carrefour!) and Malaysia.
